WHY DID YOU JOIN HORIZON STRATEGIES?
I joined Horizon because of the people, its values and for the opportunity to tie a mission to my work. My father who was a veteran of the Navy and fought in Korea, passed away in the summer of 2020. When this opportunity came up I thought it would be a great way to honor my Dad by giving back to the veteran community. It is not often that we get to tie a mission to our work in such a meaningful way but I love the fact that in this role, I have an opportunity to do so.
WHAT DID YOU DO BEFORE JOINING HORIZON STRATEGIES?
My Human Resources (HR) career has spanned 20 years. I've been involved in launching two start up locations, including creating an HR department from the ground up. Most recently before joining Horizon, I was part of the Senior leadership team that launched a startup company in the United States. We were the first manufacturing plant to be located outside the global headquarters in Germany. I have been in manufacturing over 20 years and the past 7 have been in automotive manufacturing. I loved the industry but look forward to applying my skills with this team.
